DAE and SPI Launch Interface to Streamline Resort Operations
DAE has teamed up with Miami-based SPI Software, providers of web and premises-based software solutions for the timeshare and resort industry, and completed a new two-way interface providing exchange partners with seamless, real-time communication between their technology platforms.
“The SPI interface allows DAE to facilitate exchanges for thousands of our members each year, and opens the door for hundreds of new properties to easily benefit from our services,” said Corbett Howard, DAE’s Vice President of the Americas Region (pictured)
Resorts and developers can now easily use this facility as an inventory management tool in their daily operations, with the ability to move large amounts of inventory data between the resort's internal PMS system (SPI) and DAE's Exchange Management System.
The new interface significantly reduces processing time at both ends. Resorts and DAE both benefit by streamlined confirmation of incoming guest details. Owners benefit by calling their resort directly to deposit their weeks with DAE without having to complete an online form or wait for a printed deposit form to go out in the mail.
“Importantly, we’re providing owners with a fully automated system to use their vacation time more efficiently, further adding to our suite of products that are designed to improve satisfaction across the vacation ownership industry,” said Mr. Howard.
Richard Corso, CEO of SPI Software said developing this two-way interface with DAE was a step forward for the entire industry. “The business of resort operations becomes more challenging every day, and ever rising consumer expectations must be achieved with limited resources,” he said.
“The volume of DAE exchanges has seen rapid growth throughout the industry, making the interface a tremendously competitive value-add for our partners,” said Mr Corso.
