Hervey Bay what a place

Had a wonderful time at the Grand Mercure Allegra in Hervey Bay. The unit is very large and spacious. Very well equipped and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Although we didn't have a unit overlooking the beach we enjoyed our week just the same. Hervey Bay its self has a lot to offer.

Lovely Resort

Beautiful, well cared for, two bedroom apartment. Very spacious and modern with lovely balcony. We were on the 3rd floor with a garden view towards the back of the complex. It was very quiet, with just the birds singing in the morning. The pool is stunning and we swam every day after a lovely walk along the Esplanade. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, but we also cooked as the kitchen was very well equiped. The fridge was stocked with drinks, at a reasonable price, which I thought was a nice touch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking in a secure underground parking area was great. Even trolleys supplied to carry luggage up in the lift. Highly recommend these apartments if you are looking for a little bit of luxury next time you are in Hervey Bay!!

Loved it but!

Terrific unit in a great resort and in a really good location that was perfect for what we wanted. It really is pretty close to 5 star accommodation. However a couple of little niggly things took the edge of. Internet and phone reception were really difficult to get at this location and in the ground floor unit which is a problem when you have a couple of teenagers. A good 5 star should have free internet these days and surprised this didn't. Also the Foxtel connection kept dropping out and each time we had to reset the channels, a real pain especially right at the action part of a movie. Finally the smoke alarms went off doing something as simple as cooking a piece of toast. The kitchen utensils were very cheap and basic with blunt knives and poor quality pans, we love to cook and this was disappointing. Overall though a great place and if you are there to eat out mostly a good spot.

Spacious apartment

The apartment is well located right across the street from the beach. It was clean and comfortable. However it was short of cookware for the microwave. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful. Lovely pool! Altogether a great place to stay and thoroughly recommended
