Amazing place to stay

We stayed at Peppers for one week in November. We had a wonderful stay at Peppers Airlie Beach. The staff were really helpful and professional. The resort is set into a really steep hill. They do have buggies to move you around the resort and a bus to take you to town. The unit was perfect.Large and modern and the view we had was the best view i have had from a unit.

Pepper's Stay

Airlie Beach area is a great place to stay in. It is geared for things to do around the Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. As like a lot of other places to stay in Airlie Peppers is up on the mountain side, I will say mountain as it is steep as hell if you are planning on working any of it. The Pepper's room we stayed in was right above the pool, Restaurant and Reception area and staff start coming in a 4:30am and the noise coming up from the pool deck from the kids with parents that didn't give a damn about other people with in the resort, we found that over all it was very noisy. We find for us now that we tending to enjoy more now places to stay that are more of the child free zones. Kids twisting off at their parents because they are not getting what they want just doesn't cut it and along with the kids having too much of a good time, as the parents don't get them to tone it down or the resort staff do not pass the concerns on for the benefit of the older adults that are there for quieter relaxation time. That was for where our room was situated and I can not speech for the other rooms. We had a great time traveling around and going out to the Hamilton Island for the day and there is lots more to do out on the water. So do your research before you go and sort your bookings out at one of the many booking offices down in the main street of Airlie

Comfortable but not the standard I expected

Peppers is a nice resort, 1 bedroom apartment is reasonable size and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. However I was a bit disappointed in how it is maintained. Upon arrival the apartment was not as clean as it could be (stains on the lounge, grubby marks around light switches, the sink and stove top not very clean which I had to clean before I could use ). The bedding consisted of 2 singles pushed together with very hard mattresses, it felt like sleeping on a flat board! The appliances were very old and not good quality although they did all work . The free wi-fi was terrible, some days we could not get onto the Internet at all but I guess you can't complain about something that is free. The views from the balcony are beautiful and we appreciated having a balcony with table and chairs and we spent most of time in the apartment on the balcony. Bathroom was also a good size with a double spa bath. The apartment was not cleaned every day, we received 1 clean during the 7 days we were there. I can highly recommend the Endota Spa at the resort, had a fabulous spa package there during my stay. Also the resort is up a steep hill and a short distance from the shops so it's better to have car. All in all I would still recommend staying there for the price obtained through DAE .

Great views

The one bedroom unit was well equipped and had a great view over the port of Airlie. Staff were helpful and friendly. The pool although cool was great for swimming laps for exercise and the walk up from the town was not too bad as the golf buggy would pick up at the bottom of the hill and take us to the reception without any complaint.

Although the weather was not good the environment was restful and attractive.

Peppers in Airlie Beach

Stayed for a week in Airley Beach last week. The accommodation at Peppers was nice. We were located at the far end up the top. Steep hills to/from/within this resort so keeps you fit. They picked us up from the Port of Airlie. Free shuttle bus to/from town every odd hour between 9:00am and 7:00pm. Also have golf carts for dropping people off and picking them up from the bottom of the hill. Views from our unit were good. Unit was generally good quality. Only 1 smallish pool though which wasn't the best for young kids. Free WiFi in room.

Peace and quiet. Courtesy bus.

What a View

The 2 bedroom apartment's design was perfect to take advantage of the supurb view and the cool breeze flowing through the apartment up the hill From sea level. We opened the wall of glass doors on to the huge balcony where we rested and ate some meals. The larger bathroom had a big spa bath and lovely bathing products. The restaurant also had an amazing view to a marina and beyond. I also enjoyed the sound of the water feature while having a drink or meal. One issue was the odd smell of the water in the bathrooms and the dishwasher. All in all a lovely stay.

Truly memorable stay

Right from the get go with dinners n the superb restaurant upon late arrival, tremendous breakfast buffet next morning, till we stocked up with Airlie Beach Markets supplies, our whole week was great. Our unit was so spacious for the four of us,with everything we needed, the large balcony overlooking Marina and harbour invited cocky cockatoo visitors. Enjoyed amazing day to Whitehaven Beach, swimming snorkelling and beach BBQ. The Peppers infinity pool just divine. Highly recommended.

great place

Apartment had a fantastic view no 832 not many stairs to the reception Reception staff very helpfull specially the courtesy bus driver who took us to town ad we could not walk the steep road But unfortunately the pool was small and only about 10 lounges no chance to sit by the pool as people reserved it from early morning also the pool is not heated. Housekeeping was not the best too. But otherwise had a great time iwouldd stay again in winter when i dont need the pool but in summer no way

What this member liked most:

The view from our balcony as we could only go to town every two hours with courtesy bus Taxi are $10 each way

Peppers Airlie Beach

Lovely apartment with views. Staff very obliging and helpful. Great service with their bus taking you down into Airlie Beach and return - every 2 hours from 7am - 7pm. The driver also took us to the Marina to catch the ferries for the Whitsundays tours as well as picked us up. Negatives. VERY steep getting to the resort and WITHIN the resort (but you could ring for a cart to collect you), so would suggest hiring a car as we did. Water kept coming out of the shower and didn't drain away properly. Menu in restaurant very small and didn't have any changes while there. Next time would try and find a resort with easier walking. Cockatoo droppings are not cleaned up on the balcony in between guest stays. Cupboards too high and could not reach the toaster and other dishes.

Great Stay

Weather was good for swimming. Was pickup at the bottom of the hill for most outings. Would be abit hard for an elderly person to get around. Room was very clean & staff were very helpful. Wouldn't think twice if ever asked to go back.
