Another pleasant outing is to drive to Woodend, continue on to Macedon and then drive up to the village of Mount Macedon with its magnificent homes and gardens. Continue on up to the summit of the mountain to see the famous memorial cross and then drive back to the resort via the spectacular Hanging Rock.
