The Resort itself is set on 65 acres of expansive grounds and features well-appointed single storey villas which feature a full kitchen including dishwasher and microwave, heating and air-conditioning, two TV's and a DVD player, and a washing machine and dryer. Click here to view video.
Around the resort grounds you'll find an indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna, outdoor swimming pool and wading pool, two tennis courts, and two squash/racquet ball courtsf.
There's also an adults only lounge, games room, kids room, children's playground, fairy garden, BMX bike track (BYO bikes), basketball ring, beach volley ball court and golf driving range (BYO clubs and balls).
One thing that stands Lakeside apart is its great on-site activities program that includes craft, aqua aerobics, even line dancing - providing fun for all ages - and there's also the famous Pancake Breakfast!
The resort also has an 18 hole golf course with no green fees, adjacent to the complex. Lakeside Country Club is set on 60 acres of natural bushland. Activities include golf, lawn bowls and gaming at the licensed Numurkah Golf and Bowls Club.
In fact golfers can enjoy some of Australia's best and most challenging provincial courses with facilities second to none within an easy 45 minute drive along the Murray.
A car is a ‘must' when staying at Lakeside as there is also much to see and do in the surrounding area.
Numurkah is centrally located as a hub to visit the Murray River townships of Echuca, Tocumwal, Cobram and Yarrawonga all less than a one hours drive away. The colourful area of Bright, with its year round picturesque scenery, is a day trip to remember.
Visit the historic gold mines, the wineries of Rutherglen, galleries, pottery and museums. The snowfields of Mt Buller, Buffalo, Falls Creek and Mt Hotham are within a 200km radius, contributing to the appeal of Lakeside in the winter months.
A bit closer to ‘home' there is an abundance of things to see and do - if you can tear yourself away from the Resort that is! A not-to-be-missed experience awaits at Cactus Country as you wander through five acres of landscaped cactus and succulent gardens. If you're into cars (or toys), don't miss the International Grand Prix Motor Gallery, Australia's largest collections of model cars and motorcycles. Over 550 spectacular models are on display ranging from the historical first ever Automobile made by Carl Benz in 1886, through to the amazing technologically advanced modern day Formula One racing cars.
There are also a great variety of aquatic pursuits within easy reach including endless hours of fishing, boating, and other water activities are offered by the Goulburn, Broken and Murray Rivers and Lake Mulwala.
